    A clutch brake is separate from the clutch and shouldn't be more than 2-3 hundred.

    Only thing I can figure is they’re charging to drop trans. The two piece brake is $30-45 and something you can do yourself.

    I had to cancel 4 prebooked loads - pretty decent revenue Sunday - Monday:
    1. Romeoville, IL - Groveport, OH - $1400
    2. Findlay, OH - Albany, NY - $2700
    3. Dunkirk, NY - Joplin, MO - $2400
    4. Humboldt, KS - Belleville, MI - $2200 (was supposed to be home en route on Friday night - Sunday evening - next weekend)

    I felt bad calling the brokers and excuse myself from those loads. Perhaps, for a change, I should try a hustler method of waiting to the last minute when a desperate broker calls me and pays twice as much. Or at least $500 more per dance.

    It's nice when things line out. Got to the receiver last night where I've discovered it's safe & quiet to park overnight. Early bird got the worm... again.

    Drove 3 miles to my return load, checked in 3 hrs early, they docked me and are about done.

    17k lbs load. Should be home late afternoon.

    This roundtrip is $4,500 on 1,444 all miles.

    Ain't too shabby.
