I have a FB page just to stay in easy contact with family and a very few friends. I have like 20 friends on there total and that's the way I like it. I log in once a month or so to check in, but I never attend FB groups. I hate social media for the most part. I would be perfectly happy if computers and cell phones went away permanently.

I got on FB because it makes it easy to keep in touch with the guys I drove with when I worked in Iraq. I belong to only one group, "Truckstops of Yesteryear", which has some cool pics of some longtime gone truckstops. Doesn't take but a couple minutes a week to stay up to date.

Some insightful stuff this weekend and this morning. I try not to get on here too frequently during home time. That's why you'll usually see my stuff during office hours, or after the wife and kiddo have gone to bed. It was the wife's birthday yesterday, so we hung out and I made dinner and had the in-laws over.

The way I see it, success is what you make it. I certainly find myself to be a fairly successful person. I make enough money that I don't have to worry about making bills, can afford my house, can afford to send my kid to a good daycare while I work (and yak on TTR) and generally afford to buy the things I need. At 34, I'm a great deal better off than I was at 24 (though I'd kill to have my knees back in decent shape. Thanks Uncle Sam!).

As it goes, some days (usually in the down cycles or when the anti-broker crowd gets out their pitchforks for X,Y,Z reason) it makes sense for me to just kind of sit back and watch. I've given folks my numbers on multiple occasions, and talked about my business practices. I've tried, where applicable, to help folks either figure out how to deal with crap brokers, or given them what information I can find when someone is being shady. I don't know. I'm not going anywhere, but #### I wish some of these folks would just say, "Man, maybe not all brokers are so bad."

Good, about time Shasta got some snow. When I came through 3 days ago it was all brown with just a dusting of snow. The lake needs some water badly.
