Now I was just reading where not only may they send money directly to people, but also to businesses to give to those employees for two weeks off.
Could there be unintended consequences with that. Where drivers will refuse to work since they don’t need to work. Therefore making companies that do have work in an even more weakened state?
I probably should just see what happens before jumping to conclusions though. I’ll step back from this convo.
Price tag 4 trillion? That’s insane if true.

It's weird out here. I'm in the last few hundred of a cross country run today. Lots of freight moving across as usual. My route has been 40/24/57/70/29/90 (major interstates). What's on trucks? Same as always. No more reefers or boxes than usual. Tons of equipment and lumber moving on flatbeds. Campers, boats, families with bikes on racks. Then you pass by restaurants and see no cars and hotels with one or two. I'm guessing construction workers and the like who keep rooms for a long time got to keep em. I didn't pass on open scale though from TN until western MT. WA shows them all open today.
Anyway, I haven't turned on the news other than looking at the headlines on my phone once or twice since about Thursday. It's kind of nice to be living this fantasy.
Another weird thing. Get on a load board and you'll see all the regular non-emergency loads posted. Can you pick them up? Can you deliver them? The few I've called on brokers don't even mention the crisis or have them priced accordingly. Is this just me?
I'm really curious what logistics is going to look like tomorrow morning. A ton of crazy stuff has happened in this country since close of business Friday. -
