Oh...They are calling us scumbags there...Oh...Oh... Ouch! Ouch! It hurts!
Well I don't recall hauling anything for $7 per mile yet so maybe they don't mean me.

Kind of mirrors the discussions here when the times are tight.

Brettj3876 and Dale thompson Thank this.

Yeah...and there is a discussion in the Experienced Trucker section about how to carry a shut gun in a truck...that is not a laughing matter if you ask me. Maybe they should read it too. ha ha ha ha ....

"No shirt, no shoes, no service", was the reply of a friend of mine this weekend. He was responding to my concern that Tech Giants are currently in the process of silencing anyone that doesn't comport to their platform's "terms of service". In fact, he seems perfectly comfortable with it.

    I'm not...

Thus, I called Amazon Prime this morning and asked for a full $119 membership refund (which just renewed last December) and told them to delete my account, which is a dozen years old. As a consumer, I've spent literally tens of thousands on Amazon Prime. They fulfilled both requests.

At the risk of being too political here on TTR, I'll leave it at that.

"No shirt, no shoes, no service", works in reverse as well.

I apologize for being ignorant and quite inept to read between the lines here but for someone as stoic and calm as your are they must have done or said really something that upset you. Has it to do with the recent political events or they did something on their customer service side?
I have not found anything in the news...
I have that membership too but don't order too much ... maybe $500 per year so I don't think I really need that either.

I better not. TTR is very skittish about political discussions in their open forums. If you can't (with a simple web search) find out how Amazon conspired with Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc., you might wanna try another search engine ;-)

Btw, my son told me about "Gab", another social media platform. I went to their site and read a post by the owner of the platform. He said that there has been hundreds of thousands of new sign-ups in the past few days. As such, they have been expanding their servers in order to accommodate the increased traffic. He said that in doing so, NEWEGG blocked them from buying servers parts/equipment on their site.

Man, this is starting to feel like what China does.

Just read that Parler has sued Amazon for cancelling its servers. So Apple and Google removed Parlers app, then amazon cancelled servers because Parler won’t commit to limiting free speech. Pretty incredible. Then what Scooter said about Gab.

So, the big tech companies like FB, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Tik Tok, blah blah blah all ban free speech but then also move to cancel other companies who can be chosen as alternative platforms. Wow.

How long until cable and satellite companies are forced to remove channels that aren’t in agreement with the powers that be? This is all very scary IMO. Think like us or be cancelled. Try to communicate with each other ideas that don’t fit the narrative and be cancelled and banned. Work in an administration that you don’t agree with, banned for life from finding another good job.

Does not seem like a free America to me. That’s like if TTR removes this post because if not they may get their hosting cancelled because it’s the sharing of “false” information.

I have always refused to patronize the above mentioned web sites for the reasons discussed. In 1933, a certain German leader gained prominence and took control of the country by burning the national capitol building and blaming it on his opposition at that time. The fervor that it created allowed him to take control of the media, and jail his political opponents to the cheers of his countrymen. Any of this sound familiar?

For a search engine, I strongly suggest using DuckDuckgo.com. They don't store or sell your search or personal data, and the search results are organic, not determined by an agenda.. Because YouTube has also been compromised, I would suggest alternatives such as LiveLeak.com, LeakedReality.com, and NewTube.com. So far they aren't bowing to social pressure and allow posts of almost anything. None of those three sites are suitable for children.

I'm guessing that this thread will quickly be moved, so I look forward to the next incarnation.
