Looser capacity takes pressure off freight rates
Truckload demand slows and prices fall -
I ran a load 1.5 months ago for a broker at $1200....today same load on board I called on it and she says the rate is $800.....I tell her I ran the same load for $1200 and she proceeds to tell me well freight rates are declining......ohhhh really? Sure is funny im still getting $3-4 a mile from basically every other broker....
Dale thompson Thanks this. -
It’s just business. They are testing the waters. No different then if you throw #### at the wall and see what sticks when negotiating them higher. Let us pray that some ignorant sucker doesn’t come along and take that $800.JimmyTwoTimes and Dale thompson Thank this.
