Very true. I just sold two 2019 vans (although high spec) for 27.5 each. Reefers I simply cannot find anywhere and my local dealer said 6 months indeed.

However, if you need vans and can’t even find ones to rent. That price probably don’t seem to bad. I’m considering letting a 3rd one go! lol. $2000/yr cost of owner ship is like a broken arm and sore peter... hard to beat.

I learned from a year ago when I got murdered on selling some used trucks. Timing is everything.

Edit: Hey Joe, if you get a reefer then you should still keep your van IMO.

I must make a confession that I deserted from the battle field yesterday.
I called the mega broker and explained that the pick up and the straight through delivery the same night 350 miles away in Michigan will need to be postponed until after the snowstorm is over as I was not willing venture through it with only 10K lbs load with a high likelihood of not arriving at the consignee for a strict appointment time and then being stuck there for another appointment availability. I apologized for the inconvenience and offered to be ready to complete the load after the weather improves, if they wish so. The broker rep. said they they understood and ... bounced me off the load.
I still have mixed feelings about it but but I was not going to risk my equipment and livelihood for the sake of load of snacks. A lot of snow in Chicago land today...still coming.

    P.S.
I know better than that...more than once before I ploughed my way through an inclement weather and upon arrival at a receiver...there was nobody to unload, nobody to give a medal of achievement either.
    No more...!

You read this stuff, hear this stuff, see this people in control and wonder where it all is going. Distressed every morning even before eating breakfast at home. TV off, Social media off for a few weeks...dive into oblivion.

Nah, I'm still kicking around, here. Just been busier here lately than I've been in a while. Which isn't a bad problem to have.

Honestly, that's the smart call. There's been a few loads here in the past couple of weeks where I've had drivers get into trouble en route.

There is a recall effort going on out there to oust the governor and it looks like they may get enough signatures. But maybe the real problem is the people that voted him in to begin with.
