For the longest time we used to fill up jugs from a spring about 500 yards from the house. It's not there anymore otherwise I'd still be doing it. Best tasting water I've had. Most people around here have hard well water that doesn't taste too good

In 2001 I was on a planning committee, we were drafting a comprehensive plan for our township. I spoke about this very thing, we have to protect our water and air. people scoffed at me until I brought up the fact that 5 years ago if somebody told you you would be paying a dollar for a bottle you would laugh at them, now it's commonplace, got kinda quite

There is a major, and I mean major bottle water plant about 15 mins from me. They have their own as well as label others bottled water for them. Anyway... it’s city water from the local, just ran through a gazillion filters. lol smh.

I helped drill some of the wells for Crystal Geyser (CG Roxanne). It's well water. There isn't a technical definition for Spring Water or any regulation regarding what constitutes "Spring Water". In CG's case, their "Alpine Spring Water" comes from a series of wells in Southwest Arkansas. I was told the company is owned by a Frenchman, and that he drilled a bunch of wells and started companies like that several places around the world.

Interesting. I’m fond of the Fiji water. Might be in my head but it seems more tasty then the rest.

The farm I grew up on in southern Ohio had true spring water. There was a creek a couple hundred yards from the house in a ravine, with steep limestone rock walls on either side. The water from the hill in back of our house traveled down the bedrock and came out into the creek. We had a 100 gallon collector at the spring, and from there it automatically pumped up to a holding tank by our house. Best water I've ever had to this day. Completely untreated.

That's pretty much the same way as the spring we used to use. It was probably 300ft elevation change from top to bottom where the spring came out at. About 10 years ago when they started drilling for gas around here they put an access road in where it was so no more spring

Idk if this is available nation wide but Nirvana spring water is really good. Bottled in upstate NY

Anybody ever spell Evian backwards? I've laughed at that one ever since someone pointed it out to me about 15 years ago, when Evian was one of the popular bottled waters.

Remember when the Nalgene bottle was so cool to have? I was young and felt all 'outdoorsy' carrying aroung a Nalgene bottle full of water. Nowadays I still have a Nalgene bottle and all it gets filled with is used water.
