How much is a gallon of diesel (with a decent discount) today? I haven't bought any since December of 2020. I know that since Joe Biden took over as President gas prices are going back through the roof again.
I saw this national average graph yesterday.

Here's sample of diesel (posted) retail prices in CA I just looked at. Dang, that's up there!

Not seeing increased fuel prices as a huge problem so far. Probably been running at about 5% of overall costs here in the past few weeks.
Pilot Birmingham, AL
retail price $3.299
cash price $3.249
discounted price $2.714

Where do you fuel at and what card do you use? That's practically the same as what I would pay in GA. This is an EFS card at Pilot/Flying J's.
PoleCrusher, Dale thompson, PPLC and 1 other person Thank this. -
If you don't mind me asking, is this card a stand alone discount card through Pilot/Flying J that is just being processed by EFS, or some other fuel discount program that goes through EFS which offers the best best discounts at Pilot/Flying J?PoleCrusher, Dale thompson and PPLC Thank this.

We use EFS. I just look for the best price strategy for my route. Mostly PFJ, sometimes TA. Had a couple bad experiences with Loves so they're a no go even if cheaper.PPLC, Dale thompson, Scooter Jones and 1 other person Thank this.

It's Pilot cost plus pricing EFS is just the card they use for it. I believe you need a small fleet at a minimum to get these savings from them.Lostkeys, PPLC, Dale thompson and 2 others Thank this.

Thanks. That's what I figured. The EFS Card program I use(d) was through XPO, only 1 truck. Comparing the discount rate this morning, you and Pole are getting a few cents per gallon cheaper. XPO is obviously scraping a few cents per gallon, which I guess when you figure the millions of gallons a month that goes through their program, adds up to some pretty significant scratch.PPLC, Dale thompson, rollin coal and 2 others Thank this.
-
If you're within a few cents of that cost plus Pilot program you're doing good. That's good to know. Sucks that it's XPO tho. There's not a company out there I despise more than XPO and I won't use them under any circumstance for anything. They rank number 1 on that personal list of mine and no-one else even comes close to that bad. Lol.. a story for another day I guessPPLC, Dale thompson, Coffey and 2 others Thank this.
