Best thing I've read today, and the most accurate. Know your enemy, as they say. I actually like the automated brokers intermingled with the good relationships I have with brokers. It's a perfect balance.

They day it's all automated and thus completely soul-less will be my last, unless the rates are really, really good.

Joe, get in the truck! You're missing out on some good rates. I'm not getting $5 per mile or anything near it but I'm happy working and I feel pretty protected. I haven't hauled any relief at all, quick in and out customers and everyone I've dealt with from docks to pit stops is on their game in terms of cleanliness and distancing.

No need to sit at home. Personally I'm headed there tomorrow for a few days but I will have finished a 5k mile, $10k turn in 8 days.

Well, now that workers know they're going to be able to collect $1,100 a week on the largesse of the government teet, there will most likely be a lot more of them not showing up for work.

I was reading about that. So basically, you hope your employer is non essential or has no work, then file for unemployment. After that, you live the high life for 4 months instead of finding other work?

You can’t just decide to quit and then get on the tit from what I understand.

I bet you can say that you're "afraid" to go into work because of possible exposure to the Coronavirus and there you go.

These are some of the unintended consequences, sometimes I have to wonder if they're really all that unintended though.

Some of the Republican Senators were not pleased with it last night but let it go because Steve Mnuchin said it’s due to states unemployment systems being 30 yrs outdated. It would take months to bring them up to speed and this was the only way to get money now.

I’m not a fan myself but I understand the predicament. But yeah, it’s very political. The Presidential candidate who is also a Senator immediately jumped all over them. Obviously, he wants Americans to get a taste of the guaranteed living wage as they say.

Edit: FYI someone who worked for me for 3 days then no called no showed, well just got an unemployment from him today. Getting in line to suck that tit.

This morning was still really strong, but I’m seeing the same thing. This afternoon is falling off a pretty good cliff. Who knows though, things are so volatile right now.

We've blown past socialism, and communism, to some weird arse corporate dystopian pre-robotic age.

Things will get even crazier soon, I'm afraid.
