I guess the new trucks being built this fall and beyond are going to be tracked by the government. Not on an ongoing basis, but the entire specs of the motor, trans, and aero package. All to track and give credits, etc having to do with the green house gas police.
Having said this, engines such as a Cummins X15 GHG 21 will not be able to be turned up or down anymore.
Thoughts? Better know the torque and hp setting that’s best for your application ahead of time!

Turned up or down? Not following you.

Up or down. An engine will be is what it is unless if someone figures out a way to change it illegally. This is what my dealer told me the other day when asking if I wanted to keep the same torque as past ones. I had thought about increasing torque but told him just make it the same and we’ll adjust later if need be. He said couldn’t do it anymore.Scooter Jones and SteveScott Thank this.

Automotive chip maker says it’s nearly recovered from blaze
"Naka by itself is not going to be able to fill the entire hole that we have in the supply chain,” he said. It will take until the third quarter for the auto industry to see the improved output from TSMC and other chip foundries, but it won’t be enough to fill a backlog, he said. Even from October through December, the auto industry still won’t have enough chips, he said. “We should start seeing an improvement, but we won’t be able to ship everything we didn’t fill earlier,” Amsrud said. -
I ran my pickup through kbb yesterday and it’s went up another $1k

I was always curious how much they charged to wash a pickup. My local car wash inside and out is around $30 including hand dry and vacuuming the interior and washing all the windows inside and out.

Ummm.... Ooookaaay
This is the kbb I was in reference to.

Oh crap sorry, I missed the K and thought you washed your truck at Streakin Beakin. I have to admit, having your truck going up in value for a wash was pretty funny.PPLC, 062 and Midwest Trucker Thank this.
