Wow thats a lot of white!

Trailer has no signage on it. Makes for a nice clean canvas for the buyer. Truck is a white Volvo, what can I say
Lostkeys and PoleCrusher Thank this. -

Wheel polish looks good. Someone could get into a nice rig for $90k if they’re paying attention.
TallJoe, PoleCrusher and Scooter Jones Thank this. -

After spending a whole week at home, I started on Sunday with
MI-NC 600 miles $1800,
Monday NC-MS 650 miles $2400
Tuesday LA-TN 425 miles $2500 (plus 120 miles deadhead)
Wednesday TN-LA 425 miles $1700
On Thursday I got screwed getting unloaded for 8hrs and lost a 425 miles load to TN again for $2200.
Since I needed to get home on Friday night, I ended up deadheading 650 miles to KY to get 500 loaded miles for $1800. Got held up at the shipper for 7 hrs and a sharp small gravel rock ruined my trailer tire, so I had to buy a new one. Here is Saturday morning and I am still 4 hrs away from home lol
Talk about making plans
Anyway, back to the rates after my little rant. Those rates is an example on how the market was for the last 10 months in the Midwest-Northeast where I usually run. Now you won't get that unless you really really hustle, while before it was as easy as picking up a low hanging fruit.
The easy indicator for me is Chicago-Detroit lane, when it dips below $1000, things are not looking good. On Friday there were loads posted for $700-800 and they were getting moved.
$2 per mile like @Midwest Trucker said, it's a break even point for many fleets.
If you are getting that on 3000 plus weekly miles, you are doing doing alright if you are not paying for anything else (insurance, tolls, trailer, all that stuff)SteveScott, Brettj3876, Ruthless and 3 others Thank this. -
Life itself is one big wave surfing event.Brettj3876, mp4694330, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this.
