Truck Load Rates Halt 8 Week Slide 2.0

I secured the next week with 3 loads: IL-NY, PA-MO, MO - IL the loop is 1860 miles paying $6300. Mon-FR but get empty on Monday.

Sadly, many regular loads on my lanes are pre booked by someone earlier than me, even as early 10 days before their pick up dates. So the tactic may be waning out. Another possibility is that they're exhausted on the shipper side. I also suspect some of those parasitic Landstar agents or dispatch companies might be stashing them with their MC# and ready to sell when the pick up times are close. I'll still close June with about 22 - 25K revenue. So I should not complain about what I get but it is somewhat disturbing to see and feel certain indicators that rates and volumes may turn for a slower pace. A man gets spoiled after so many consecutive months of good runs.

Pretty much how we run it too. Most of my stuff is in the 200mi range for loaded miles

Kick off the load i picked up yesterday afternoon and pick up another delivering next day, unload/reload rinse and repeat. Always gotta watch the board like a hawk or you miss out big

 

I had a pretty uneventful day other than a flat when I got home to my yard. I noticed that my auto inflater light was on as I was backing into my spot. Got out and sure enough, 2 big holes right next to each other like it was a U-bolt or something. Called the crew out and was surprised to see both handles from a pair of pliers inside of the tire. I was trying to imagine how they would have been laying in order to pierce my tire with both handles. Seems like a one in a million shot. The repair guy had never seen anything like it before either.

 

Gotta be X1. Lol

 

My curiosity got me, so I went and looked. X1 had 34k posts in about 4 years. Lol
