Sucks cause that looks like a shiny, new trailer but an easy and cheap patch job and 15 minutes later you are good to go. Even the bows are not too bad to swap out but they didn't mess yours up.

Just under $39k gross on about 10,500 odometer miles for the month of Sept running dryvan....driver had 3 34hr resets on the weekends during the month also. Not a bad month.....
Ruthless, zmster2033 and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -

I hope it won't be too bad to fix.
It was a load of empty chep pallets but they stock them to high. I wish they had paid more attention.
The receiver had to break them down to pull them through their door.
These vans are not much better than glass.
DYI patching? I'll see but I'm pissed and deadheading home to take care of it tomorrow.SteveScott Thanks this. -

That’s pretty incredible especially on that few of miles. Was that “by the book” or did you run on any emergency HOS exemptions?
I met with my insurance guy yesterday for lunch and golf, lol, and he said most people are saying better then ever but some are saying they are barely hanging on. He said most of those are dry van spot guys. Not sure how that’s possible. -

That sucks man. Whenever I see “Chep” it makes me think of the say no to chep freight during the protest thing in DC. lolPPLC, Lostkeys, loudtom and 1 other person Thank this.

I have started avoiding those pallet loads. They usually take forever to load and seem to not care for taking them off the trailer at the receiver. Plus they stack them inches away from the roof, and who can trust a forklift driver?! Good luck with the patch job!Last edited: Sep 30, 2021

Luck is needed indeed. These roof patches will always remain vulnerable spots.
This is not a drama but should have been avoided. What's more annoying is that the forklift operator kept quiet and the manager was insinuating the shippers fault... not wanting to take responsibility. They both are to blame for loading too much of this #### and I should have known better.Lostkeys and zmster2033 Thank this. -

That was 100% by the book no exemptions for HOS or anything "not normal".....that was running 4 states the entire month...maybe 5, we may have did 1 load into Ohio? I'd have to look but I'm not by my computer right now. 100% spot market, load board/broker app freight. Usually booking 2-3 days in advance.

Looks like the top of the forklift hoist/frame made those holes.
