I was poking around on Craigslist this morning and saw a 2022 dry van made by De Lucio. Never heard of the brand, but the price ,sure seems right for anybody who's looking. $47,600
I'm guessing that it's made in Mexico?

The first part of this is hearsay but it’s from the brother of a close friend. Supposedly Peterbilt in Norfolk NE told his brother they have 7 389’s sitting almost complete in Denton with no engines. They said mid to late 2022 before Cummins can supply them engines to complete the trucks.
My friend talked to the KW salesman in Yakima today. The salesman told him that KW has meetings next week to determine dealer allotments. Once those are determined he’s going to call my friend back and let him know of available 2023 build slots. That 2023 wasn’t a typo.
It’s too late for me to make any changes this year so my plan is to sell my current truck and at least get the paperwork done on the new one before Dec 31. I’m thinking about taking delivery of my new one and then selling it in 2022 while everything is still inflated. That would give me the rest of the year before that money has to be used for something else to avoid paying a ton in taxes. Not sure what I’d do, but if I can clear $100k over what I financed and use that to start something else that might be the direction I go.Ruthless, dwells40 and SteveScott Thank this. -

That's a nice return - maybe 1 year worth of profit but then you become a fisherman without a boat. On the other hand, you can always line up for another allotment, while trying to do something else.
I spoke to more than a dozen dealers around Midwest and it seems that Nobody, who is trying to buy now, is getting any new trucks in 2022. That's it. Unless we see a huge transport industry implosion due to hyper-overcapacity - much bigger than 2019 - first half of 2020 - and buyers will get cold feet and cancel orders.
