We’re making the best of it as Tuesday I was positive for covid and Thursday my wife was/is. So, all Christmas plans except here at home are going to be missed unfortunately.

With the covid I ended up having to have a couple family members grab a few small things that myself and Dad normally would have gotten. We sortof have a tradition of shopping 1 or 2 days before Christmas.

Having said that, Santa has been here and is now westbound and down. Looks like he brought a basketball door hanging backboard and rim for my son (not for me of course lol) I helped him with the milk and cookies while watching some moonshiners.

 

I think that's pretty much every guy waits til the last minute. That's what it was today, mostly all guys at the store Lol

 

Your area went down big time, maybe it's not that noticeable to you, since you run z0z1, but z1 to z4z5 and PA-NY-PA got really low on volume compare to what it used to be. For example I would easily get $1500 on York, PA to Binghamton, now brokers laugh at me offering $800 and those loads get booked fast.

I run a lot of z4 to z1 and back. Before it would take me 30 min to book a great load, now it takes 3-5 hours to get just something decent .
The last few weeks, the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas, should have been red hot, yet, it feels like October, completely flat.

 

They have dropped at bit. We've been running Jersey City for 1350avg, sometimes a bit less sometimes a bit more. I noticed the rates going to the metro area haven't really dropped much but stuff coming back out has. Jersey to Rochester for around a 1000, that lane dropped about 200-250 from 6 months ago. Still that's not a bad round.

What are those Z's mean? Zones?

 

Ahh ok, figured something along those lines. I've never noticed that on DAT but I really don't use the mobile version
