$1000 on 350 miles? I wouldn't consider that good for a run that ties the truck up for two days.

    Brettj3876 and PSM379 Thank this.

Let us know how it goes.

Far as me, yep. Still killing it. Sometimes I don’t even feel like I deserve the money coming my way.

    SteveScott and dwells40 Thank this.

They pay not too bad in the area today....click and book. Should I go to work instead of celebrating on New Year's eve?

Loads like that with seemingly too good to be true rates attached, might be...tricky but they don't have to be. I checked that load on the TruckersEdge it was right there but listed for $7500 - and two hours earlier someone's offer of $5200 at JB Hunt 360 was rejected...so it sort of makes you pause before you click on it. On the other hand, why not clicking first and then worrying about it? An owner operator can be spoiled enough by the last year and a half...spoiled enough not to click on it right away...I could not get a hold of anybody at JBH to find out details about the delivery - if there wasn't any trap there. In any case, let the above snapshot signify the overall trucking business conditions we had the opportunity to take advantage of. That is not to say that 10$ per mile on 1000 miles was a norm, or even close.

It says average wait time is 302 minutes at the receiver. You would most likely be sitting until Monday or dead head back or they not take it and be stuck.
I was scheduled to pickup a load the day before thanksgiving a few years ago and it canceled at the last minute. I had to sit until Friday.
