Back at it after 7 weeks off. The other deal wasn’t going to be a good fit at all. Turns out I want more time off during the year than what many people consider acceptable.

I did 2 short weekend moves Fri and sat night. 88mi total 33 loaded miles 500 a pop. Not bad for 4.5 hours of my time. Supposed to be coming up most weekends. Nice way to pad the week

Got my drops off in Phoenix today and came over to get my reserved parking spot. Judging by how things looked at Danny’s and the Flying J at about 3pm local time today I’m going to say Phoenix is really not the place to be with a flatbed or stepdeck right now.
-
Same on the other side of the country. I run the same few lanes and haven't been noticing nearly as much truck traffic as usualD.Tibbitt Thanks this.
-
I always reserve a spot at the Flying J ahead of time for the day I get empty here. Usually it’s not bad, today I had to wait for security to move non-paying trucks out of the way so I had an open spot to park in. You’re not seeing traffic out east because they’re all parked out here in the southwest. HahaD.Tibbitt and Brettj3876 Thank this.

I have never seen it this bad out west for flatbed.
It's been entirely dead for a little while now.
For example not one single load posted with 150 miles out of Phoenix for rest of the week going east.
Not one load.
To the southeast, midwest, northeast. Nothingdwells40 Thanks this.
