What's hilarious about all this, in times like these, is that I have a dedicated office at home with a file cabinet, fancy schmancy desk, PC and what not...you might think I look at very least like some JB Hunt executive secretary...filing, scanning, spreadsheet calculating, making all kinds of entries to the calendar - all this Backoffice staff, and all of it for what?!? Mostly likely, after the last year, a seasoned Walmart fleet driver should have the same thickness of his wallet as mine, if not better. More likely the latter. Someone might ask me, dude you seem like making at least a million sitting behind that desk in that chair...LOL... let's be honest, that's pathetic.

The Absurd rates lately trying to club a dead horse market have been very entertaining like watching the limbo at the roller rink and stupid carriers hauling the trash freight are collapsing everywhere.

When $2 was the bottom and they're feverishly trying to beat markets down to $1/mi skimming profits from carriers.. I'm just patiently waiting as it's collapsing because the pendulum will swing wildly on the return after the total supply chain destruction is done.

If the government did their job and regulated brokers as much as carriers it might prevent these ridiculous swings in the industry.

 

It’s just as easy to become a carrier as it is to become a broker. Paperwork and a few hundred dollars.
