Just lost the load the other week we had coming back that delivered 15 miles up the road from the yard 2-3 times a week, mostly it was 2x a week. Time to try and steal that move now. The guy on the dock has been there 30 years and likes us since we're locals and know a lot of the same people. He knows who to put us in touch with. We had that move since the summer. The last straw was when the broker couldn't give us the right P/U # for the thousand time and they wouldn't load us. Incompetent people Lol. Broker blamed the shipper and shipper blamed the broker Lmao. Figured since we didn't have any of them for this week that they got tired of the broker ####ing up. It was perfect because you picked it up in the afternoon and got rid of it that same night

Got a load off the board yesterday I'm delivering right now that dad picked up on the way back. $800 207mi. Maybe only the 4-5th load in over a month we got off the board

Will run back empty before we waste time pulling a $500-600 load all the way back from jersey to upstate NY and wasting a day when I could of just ran back empty and loaded another $1000 load for the next day. With how the market is I'm happy with a grand a day and half empty miles running locally. That cheap #### won't go on our wagons. I look at gross per day not rpm being local. Taking a load back that would bring up my rate per mile but I miss reloading my main load that brings down my gross revenue per day. A whole other day tied up on a load that pays less doesn't make sense.

You guys that run the road are probably grossing a little more than us, at least I hope you are.

Reputable brokers must be having their fill of the double brokering that’s going on. I had a broker load for one of my backhauls last week and all our office had was the pick and drop towns. I had to call the broker and they sent the MacroPoint while I was on the phone and all that had was the actual addresses for pick and drop. Once I got to the shipper I had to call for the pick up number but they wanted to make sure I was there and that I was the one picking the load up before they’d give out any info.

I read an article a couple days ago that said the ports of LA and Long Beach are operating at less than half capacity of normal for this time of year. Imports and exports are both much slower than usual. That must be having a huge impact of the amount of freight moving across the country.

the FDIC isn't funded by the tax payers it's an insurance program the banks pay into themselves. It's literally bank funded and operates so smoothly that most bank employees don't know anything is happening until they show up Friday to close the old bank (republic) and open on Monday as the new bank (J.P.)

Im aware of that. However I’d bet that fund was blown through about 3 hours into the last banking crisis.(SVB) lol. Where do you think the money comes from then?

From what I understand JP wouldn’t agree to the deal unless a 15 billion gov hit was taken. You notice they always no tax dollars will be used but never say how big or how much is left of the fdic fund?
