All I am saying is that in order to preserve integrity , a purely capitalistic minded person should not be disturbed by a broker maximizing profits even at the cost of sacrificing a owner operator's dignity. We all agree, I imagine, that the ridiculous rate was a spit in the face of any owner operator.
As you see, this is not all black and white.

Hmmmm. I have a dry van booked from Kingman to Phoenix in 8 days to complete my trip back home that pays $650.

I wrote this to OOIDA... hey who knows!...

    Insurance Cost Reduction

With Allstate and others reducing or forgiving insurance payments due to covid-19, it will be a great gesture if OOIDA gives 50% off monthly insurance payments to it’s owner operators for the next 3 months to assist in economic recovery and to help slow the slow the spread of the virus for those owner operators choosing to stay home.

It will make great press headlines, which will be huge advertising for the association. “Trucking Association OOIDA reduces truck drivers insurance cost to help battle Covid-19” . This will look great on CNN or Fox News.

    Thanks!

    Truckermania and TallJoe Thank this.

Yes. Especially if they park their trucks and sit at home.

That’s what I’m saying! If I’m at home that’s about a 99% reduction in liability to my insurance company.
