So because man invented gun powder we should stop eating meat? The rifle is just the means in how the meat is put on the table, no different than a kill chute at a beef/pork/chicken plant.

 

I never got into hunting, but got no problem with those that do, assuming they do it responsibly. I look at it like I look at fishing, follow the regs put in place to conserve the species population. No wall trophies kills, eat what you kill, don't kill what you won't eat.

That's my philosophy as well. We hot for average. But the dude does leave more than a few hanging out over the plate, then we get our extra bases.

 

And the stores are full of it. Cleaned and ready to cook.

Killing cause you need to is one thing, otherwise it's just murder.

 

Probably won't find the bear strolling into the bathroom looking for trouble either.

I keep reading this thread today and now I feel like having boar tenderloin for dinner. I'll have to settle for baby back ribs today. As a kid, when I was into Wild West literature, I read in one of the books that grizzly bear palms were the best to eat. The protagonist who made that claim, killed the grizzly by driving his knife into the animal's heart. He had only one shot and he used it.
Try that instead of the nowadays guns. Ha!
