Truck not going into gear

    I have a 2017 international prostar with Eaton auto transmission and it won't go into gear as soon you click the D it will peep and show F.

    I pull the code
    SPN-788 7 Transmission Clutch Actuator
    Do I need replace the actuator or there is something else problem.

    I just did that... so yes it's the clutch actuator is bad.. part of the check the shop will do is check the wiring (could be but not likely) and check the pressure plate (not likely) and the clutch (not likely)... depending on where you go it's about $3,500 parts and labor...

    Check around.... you can go to any dealer not just international... they all work on your transmission
