Assuming I'm looking to finance a brand new truck from let's say Volvo, and their process is JIT. How long is the typical JIT, and will I have to start paying the monthly premiums from as soon as I order the truck? or from when I get the truck? Thanks.

I can only speak of paccar, but after working out the details they see if there's something close to that in the order que and if it's too late to make changes, if not then they submit the updated specs, you give the salesman some money's to place the order and you begin payments upon accepting the delivery.
Tug Toy Thanks this. -
As far as lead time to get the truck, the dealer can tell you the current lead time at the factory. If you’re talking insurance, you would fill out the endorsement form to add the truck 3-4 weeks in advance. It can take a couple weeks to get everything quoted and signing the final paperwork to begin the policy.
