I got a sterling lt9500 dump truck sometime when I set my parking breaks it will not set truck just keep rolling normally when it does set I hear the release of air when it does not set there no release of air what is bad here the yellow parking valve in my cab (I don't think that bad) or the valve that release the air or is there something else some other valve ?
Truck parking breaks won't set even with no air in the tank

If there's no air, gotta be mechanical. Brake chamber springs broken, way out of adjustment, etc. Unless something is holdingvair in thevlines. Pull hose off chambers and see if there is air.
Quick release valve failures are common, causing no set, or slow set symptomsLast edited: Jul 26, 2023

Quick release valve, or hand valve.

In a dump truck application, I'm thinking debris may have gotten into the system somewhere.

sounds like bad quick release valve. getting worn inside and sometimes it is sticking and not releasing air to the spring brakes.
