I have a question for the Drivers that live in or near Roanoke, VA.... If your company issues you a truck and trailer, where do you park it when you're at home during your time off ?
I'm starting a new job with a company that does not have a terminal nearby that I can park my truck and trailer when I'm taking time off at home (Roanoke, VA). I'm having a hard time finding a place to park.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't find much either looking for listings in the Yellow pages, Yelp etc., and everything I did was either full up or grossly over-priced IMO (i.e. in the $350 to $450 per month price range in Tacoma, WA). What worked for me was to just try locating truck yards on Google Maps/Satellite view, go out and take a look, and then try to track down the owner. It was a slog, but I did eventually find an acceptable spot for $125/mo.
Edit: if there's a somewhat "rural" major truck dealership nearby with a huge lot, try them.tscottme, '88K100 and Dennis_In_VA Thank this. -
Try local towing companies. Usually those yards are on 24 hour video surveillance and are usually big in size.

Some self-storage facilities have space to park bobtails. Often any place advertising they have room for RVs can accommodate a tractor, but you need to present as a normal civilized human being and not what most civilians imagine when they hear the word "trucker".

Had to pay to store it a secure parking lot for tractors/trailers. Hindsight I would have went with a company that had a local terminal
