I live in downtown Charlotte, NC and not sure where I can park my truck when I take my hometime. I plan on taking home-time every 2 weeks for 3 days.
I was told by my company I can take my truck home with me if I can keep it secured since I'm about 2 hours from the nearest terminal.
I'm wondering if I keep it at a Loves or Pilot and clothes curtains maybe they will think I'm in it and not tow me. But the Pilot near me doesn't have many parking spots so they might suspect I'm parking it for home-time.
Theirs a couple paid truck parking spots near me that charge $15 a night but theirs always at full capacity when I check their website.

2 hours from their yard, I'd park it there and let them worry about it.

I would definitely pay for secured parking before leaving my truck at any loves or pilot. And when I say secured, it doesn’t have to be a lot with gates and barbed wire, just something that is privately owned, with at least a few security cameras, and the same people parking there every every day. You may have to search around a little, might even have to knock on a few doors, but you should be able to find something.
tscottme, bzinger and truckdriver31 Thank this. -

For about the same money (per day) you could reserve a spot at the Pilot for that many days, and no one would mind or bother your truck.

Val_Caldera Thanks this.

Ay Matey,
"2 hours from a Terminal" is insignificant in Trucking.
Park At Terminal!
IF any Damages occur, it's the responsibility of the Terminal!
Park at Pilot, in Charlotte?? Seriously?? "Safe" Parking?? Hahaha!!
I've driven me car 2 hours to Wilkesboro, then home after 2 weeks of Diesel Touring!
I live in GSO.

Numb, tscottme, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this. -
Try Rock Hill SC in some of those truck stops on I-77. I like the QT myself.

Before you leave it at the truck stop unattended for 3 days check on ebay how much is a new hood, bumper and set of headlights for your truck, because you might be buying them after you come back.
roshea, D.Tibbitt, Val_Caldera and 9 others Thank this. -
Go to a mom and pop truck stop around you and ask nicely if you can leave it in the back corner for a few days. Most places won't have a problem
Pilot or loves is bad idea, lots are way too small. You'll come back to smashed up hood or it'll be a towing companies yard
