Is this an example of of a driver that we are suppose to regard as a "professional"?
Not in my book.

I agree Camper, hopefully he really is an ex as his status says. Otherwise hopefully he gets taken off the road sometime very soon.

Here we go. Another Billy Big Rig. Please stay as an ex-driver. Do the world a favour. -
AsphaltCowboy2011,
I hope my children are not with me in the car when your horrible truck comes barreling down the highway! All I can say is that I try my best to drive safely but I can only control my own vehicle. I think you are in the wrong occupation, bud... -
Maybe that's why he's an "ex" with only two years.
Four wheels Thanks this. -
Passing on a 2-lane is always dicey. Some times it's better to just stay behind them. Other times if you know you can get around them, go ahead and go when it's clear. Some 4-wheelers are intentionally slow as they're towing something, or moving and the pickup truck is loaded up with stuff.
or you can have my luck. I was going through some Indiana back roads when I came upon a slow moving farm tractor pulling a wide load piece of farm equipment. We both had to be partially on the shoulder in order to get around. -
I travel Northern Ontario a lot, so passing on 2 lane roads is the norm. However, as others have said, I only do it when I know for sure, I have the room to attempt it. Otherwise, I sit back, and enjoy the scenery until I can speed up to my cruising speed again. However, I'm also never in a rush, and the only trucks I'm passing in Northern ON are Manitoulin, Pro North, and sometimes Reimer.
