Interesting how different the dump world can be @Tall Mike I bounce around a lot but we always have direct loads from AL back to FL, we stay away from feed because of the horrible rates, but you guys seem to be doing good with it. Florida based long dumps are a tough market, not hard to get in but you take a beating getting out.

Florida is a graveyard for most things trucking. If we go in it's not much farther than Jacksonville unless 'taters are running back to the 717. Keep in mind other than my failed JK experiment I've run for 717 Mennonites only. They have their own good ole boy network and take care of their own.

A proper job, with 3 pedals.;-)
Back in another century before we had sleeper cabs in the UK there were 'transport digs' all over the country. Landladies who specialised in catering for dinner, B & B for drivers. Some were excellent, some were good, some were bad and some were bloody awful, so often we made our own arrangements to sleep in the cab. A common reply from drivers to another's question as to where they were spending the night was 'at the 3 pedals', as if it was some posh hotel. :D

Getting back to the B-double/Super B issue for a moment. This picture is from Australia (note right hand driver's door open and wide load sign, a British habit) and my mate there reckons it is from possibly way back in the '60s before Bs were even invented (there anyway). We think it might be a home made affair, some contractor way out in the bush, untroubled by such things as law officers or ministery men, who wanted to move a couple of dozers but had 2 trailers and a spare 5th wheel lying about but only one tractive unit. So, with a decent size drill and a few big nuts and bolts sorted his problem in very short order. ;-)
What does anyone think, anyone seen such a thing before, and what of the tractor, Inter or Mack? Or what? o_O

That was my first thought, but not sure, the mudguard doesn't look right, but then a bloke that would put a 5th wheel on a trailer instead of under it, can get up to anything.

I’m going to lose my outlaw status if I’m not careful, I don’t eat toast and stay away from hash browns, too many carbs, oh the joys of getting older, realizing life don’t last forever, and trying to take care of myself :). @Tall Mike you’ll probably out live me by 20 years and have a good time doing it too!
