Vintage Fire truck. GAZ-53. Gas powered V8

 

This is the newest addition to the "family". It's a 2013 Mack Pinnacle CHU613. From what we were told, the owner's daughter picked out the color. All of us (except the driver it will be assigned to) have affectionately named it "Barney".

 

She was hot!

 

My rig the next few days

 

I went to that fun little town in Texas that we all know and love as Laredo last month .

So what you say ?

Well this is what I found when I got to the import brokers fenced in lot !!!


The best part is nobody had the tires I needed in town so two and a half days later I pull out of this wonderful little slice of Heaven looking like this

I know what you are thinking ...... MAN that is one sweet ride there ... LOL

So all in all it was just your average trip to the border !!!

 

Not my everyday gig pulling a tank, but same ol black pete.

It doesn't look too good right now, winter in PA is very hard to keep a truck looking sharp.

 

yeah i can imagine.....but u cant get er cleaned up and shined up again in the spring

 

i guess everyone cant afford to drive your boss's truck
