Have a question about registration.
I have an Indiana LLC but live in CA (because I just have to be in CA for kids). Can I register my truck in Indiana and get Indiana plates, UCR based for IN?
Or will I have to get IN residency and IN CDL first?
I am not trying to cut any taxes doing this, my LLC doing business in IN for last 6-7 years and basically I pay taxes in IN and CA.
Thank you for your advices!

Your domicile for the LLC is Indiana. File your IRP using the LLC.,
It shouldn't matter which state issued your CDL. Except the issuing state should be your residency.
You are a separate legal entity from your LLC. -
I'm here in Indiana and my brother is in California. It has always been a pain to live in California, I believe.
I'm not sure if I'm right, but to get your truck registered in Indiana, IRP, UCR, insurance, you'll most likely need an Indiana CDL as a proof of residency. Even if you have an LLC here.
Here are some links, but I would like more experienced forum members to comment.

It depends on the owner of the equipment and how it's registered... the company that is registering the equipment and where that company is located will determine which base state to register your irp.
