I would not rescue that truck. Tell them it’s a hazard being in the shape it in. Start calling other companies in case you need another job. No one would recover that truck with the filth inside of it.

Just think, that's AFTER he moved out of it! I'm far from the cleanest person, and probably let my truck get to dirty, but I wouldn't get in that. The conditions some of these drivers seem ok with are horrible.

There is a definite limit to what any self-respecting driver should tolerate.

This is a wonderful example of something that is well beyond said limit.

The mere fact that you were told to "rescue" such as this (and then got "pushback" for it, based on your response)....is indication enough (for me, at least) that you indeed need to be researching other employment opportunities, anyway.

Do keep us posted on how this pans out.

Tell your driver manager to do it himself. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Good thing about having a clean record. You can have another job in 2 days (tomorrow if it's early enough to do the drug test)

Save the tow fee, burn it where it sits.

I would not drive it either. Tell them to find someone else. Or better yet, tell him you will drive him to the truck so he can drive it.

If there's human and pet waste it's considered a bio-hazard and should be dealt with accordingly.
