It's my understanding Mack has a 9 month backlog on Anthem orders, they are selling them like crazy. I agree, I like the new VNR as well. Volvo/Mack really has made some changes that make these trucks look different. No matter what, the new Freightliner will always look like a Freightliner, but these two designs look very unique. In the Denver area, there are already 4 or 5 units on the road, all were ordered as soon as Mack introduced the truck last fall. I've also seen a couple of them on the road with other companies. Something to consider, Mack is bringing out a 48" flat top sleeper for line haul/vocation use. The truck in my avatar is a 48" flat top Pinnacle, I run regional and local with it, depending on the wheelbase, it is very maneuverable in the city.

Did Mack have the option to increase the weight on the drive when loaded at slow speed?

Yes, you can adjust things, I didn't get into how it works because they never explained to me, they just said it can be adjusted.

They did that in 1991 with the ch series. You could even get the 72 in condo.

I own 3 Mack's with the MP8 and they work hard pulling very heavy loads in the mountains and have not had so much as a single issue with them.

Still only 1 adjustable armrest, stuck in the ‘60’s. Okay truck for city work.

So is the engine and transmission exactly the same as in Volvo ? Can parts be interchanged?
Saw a Mack Anthem parked next to me yesterday and it sparkled my interest. They are also cheaper than Volvo
