I must say, Pur48Ted, thanks for sharing. Also, if you were an airline pilot you would be an hero, with your picture and truck on a bill board. Glad it all worked out for you. I saw all the trucks in the ditch when I came through there 2 days ago. Good for you and for all the trucks that slowed down to respect the road conditions. It is always unnerving to see drivers fly past other trucks when weather conditions are rapidly changing.

That is the exact thing that began the chain-reaction slide-off my video depicts. -
drove through the aftermath monday. The trucks in the ditch started about 20 milrs into illinois and went through effingham. Looked like a read bad pileup near the 130. Folks always seem to wipe out near that bridge. No special hazards that I can see but you'll see trucks cracked up there every winter.
Lots of rigs in the median and rolled 4 wheelers. -
Reason I dont drive in that mess. Company asked me if I had snow chains "Nope and aint getting none" told them my truck is allergic to two things bullcrap and snow
