Truck stalled and would not start back!!!

    2017 T880 in dump truck config, Allison auto, MX13. Was sitting on job site idling and truck stalled. I tried to restart it and it would just turn over, but not fire up. It was like it was out of fuel.
    Two things were different after this happened. The DEF gauge was on E and red light was blinking. An icon showed up on dash that I hadn’t seen before. It was a gear icon with an exclamation in the middle.
    There were no indicators of failure before this. I ended up having it towed to KW. They called this morning, told me it was a transmission light and likely caused the motor to not start to prevent further transmission damage. They won’t know more until Monday when techs are in.

    I would suspect an electrical issue with loss of electrical power to the Engine controller/ PCI . If the engine PCI loses power the trans will have faults due to loss of communication from the engine.

    Engine power supply relays are common fail point.
