    Hey fellow drivers

New to this forum, but not to trucking. I have over 20yrs behind the wheel.

I am looking to start plans on a trucker friendly truck stop. I am in search of what you might wish to see in a truck stop.

Ideas I am working on would include more parking with pull in and pull out spots so to help eliminate the accidents while parked. Looking a a fishing pond with picnic area for bbqs for those layovers. Trucker friendly resturaunt and and store.

Such things as this please let me know any suggestions you may have but please keep it on a serious note. This has been one of my dreams and just about in the position to start the final plans on this.

    Thanks runninscared

Have you checked out the costs of real estate , permits and EPA requirements for fuel storage , insurance , etc. ? I have seen plenty of truckstops close and the only new ones opening are Pilots and Loves .

But to answer your question drivers would like good family style restaurants , free WiFi and a truckers chapel ministry would help .

    Cybergal Thanks this.

    Thanks RickG,

Yes the costs are gonna be very large but the return and what it will accomplish will be rewarding to all drivers as well as my investments. This is why all ideas will help this succeed. The Pilots, Loves and Flying J's wont offer the comforts I will bring.

Will keep all posted on status
    Thanks for the post...
