For me I hit a lot of rest areas and big truck stops in the beginning for easier parking. Now I feel good with parking anywhere I still go for the big truck stops and rest areas. Or if a truck stop is full the get food there if you have none and hit the rest area. Earlier the better if your going to just drive that day or need to get a spot closer to con if appt times are strict. Sometimes it'll be packed and you'll have to make a spot somewhere and hope for the best lol.

I try not to ever park in Truck Stops, not so much because of the type of people but just because of ALL the people. I just do not like all the activity if that makes sense. Just way to much going on. I will always try to find a place that is secluded but still safe. Almost any smaller town you pass through will have tons of places to park. The mom and pop truck stops are less crowded for the most part and the people that work there are usually a lot more friendly.
