I am new to trucking. Do most of the truck stop showers supply towels? I am training at the moment and my trainer does not shower until he gets home. I would prefer to shower while OTR, but I do not want to have a wet towel in my trainers truck. On that note brings me to the question above. Thank you.

Yes, they supply towels. When you're through with them, they also use them to wipe out the shower and clean the toilet between drivers.

I am new to trucking. I am currently training with my trainer. I have 4 weeks to go out of 5. My trainer stays out 6-7 days before returning home. He does not shower while OTR. I got very uncomfortable and told him I need to shower. He did not have an issue with that and, even offered me to use his shower credits. I asked him about towels in truck stops and, he did not have an answer for me.

Do truck stops supply towels with a shower?

I do not want to bring a towel and have it be wet inside my trainers truck. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You,

    Chipper

Good to know. Do they wash the towels after that?

Some do some dont. Generally get your own. When the towel is damp from showering, stuff one end under the upper bunk mattress and let it air dry, then hang by other end till both are dry. Alot of companies tell you to get the "microfiber" towel for quick drying of both you or the towel.

They all give you a towel, wash cloth and a little bar of soap. They don't believe in fabric softner though. Bring your own soap and shampoo along with your shaving stuff and toothbrush and you're good to go.

Ewwww! Another stinky trainer. A new thread will be coming. :)

Always have your own towel in your diddy bag as back-up. That's because, sometimes, especially when you are in a hurry, the shower will be clean and ready, but the attendant went to sleep and "forgot" to wash towels. But that's no problem if you have your own, right ?
