Truck stops adding national chain restaurants

Please NO I like Black Bear dont put 1 in truck stop itll go in the toilet. Most of them are less than a mile from a "travel plaza"

 

I haven't tried that but I did have my first ever truck stop prime rib at the Country Kitchen tonight.

It looked good but was anything but prime, just a piece of chewy meat.

The salad bar was great and saved the meal (thank God I love salad).

 

I carry my own. I have a Hibachi on truck too.

 

TA / Petro is the king though. Especially for breakfast.

Most of them make pretty awesome spaghetti.

I mean it is truck stop.

Typically don't go looking for a Chatuea Brion in one.

 

If you want a restaurant to work in a truck stop,
Give us some freaking decent looking women
To serve us.
Please. Pretty please.
Just one truck stop please give us some attractive
Women to serve us.

I promise I'll sit down and eat and leave a good tip.
I don't care how good the food is.

 

The TA Barstow has had a Black Bear Diner in it for about two years now. The quality of food there hasn't diminished, in my opinion.

And the Black Bear Diner in Kingman, Arizona is under construction.

 

So you want Hooters at the stops.

 

I wished I was at a Petro or TA right now. I'd go in and eat like an American.

That is the best thing TA/Petro could do to their restaurants. Instead of closing so many Country Pride/Iron Skillets and leasing to IHOP they should have leased to Hooters. Talk about the restaurants being full all day. Even if the food wasn't good the scenery would be worth the time there.

 

In other unexciting news, highway 58 in California between Boron and the land east of the 395/58 junction is coming along nicely.

Most notably, there is an overpass in use which bypasses that dreaded set of tracks parallel with 58 as well as the 395/58 junction itself.

This means no more being caught in stopped traffic from the idiocy of that hellish intersection.
