1999 Freightliner Century S60 12.7
-just replaced all injectors, injector harness, ECM, TPS sensor.
Truck before Freightliner repairs had top speed 72 now after repairs, only goes 67 mph AND THEN after 15 minutes of driving goes 72 mph while bobtail.
Truck occasionally will go 72 mph while loaded, but it’s rare.
If you guys have any ideas of what it could be, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I believe it's a parameter in the ECM the shop neglected to reprogram back into the new ECM.

I used it a lot at the dealership to sneak in extra MPH on neutered company trucks.BoxCarKidd, MAMservices, blairandgretchen and 2 others Thank this. -

Obviously, bobtail you'd reach a higher MPG. I always programmed the goal MPG to 4, and set the awarded MPH to 6.
So, that goal was achieved easily and quickly, driver got 6 mph extra, and if questioned, the computer still showed the original max speed. Meaning, if top speed limit was 72, the 4 MPG goal was achieved, and truck would run 78. And nobody was ever the wiser. -

It allows you a limited time for passing, programing issues.
Bean Jr., RepoweredRookie and M22 rockcrusher Thank this.
