Truck Wandering

What was the problem? Everything you said legit I am going thru right now with my 2015 pete 389. I have changed gearbox, torque arms, drag link, tie rods, alignment and my truck still feels like it's wandering after a good 400 miles and just gets worse.

 

I have the same problem on my Mack cxu I want to say it does it more when loaded . I run a belly dump on it . I have changed drag link , kingpins , and tighten up steering box . And it still does it . Like you stated when it gets hot usually after my first load it gets worse . Then I drop off my load and it’s fine . Also just noticed one of my rear motor mounts is bad could that be the culprit.

 

Did you ever find out what the problem was . My truck does the same exact thing . First load is good then it starts . I run a belly dump trailer . What I noticed today was that when not loaded my steering feels tight . But when loaded I could actually move it around . I been looking and looking and just don’t see anything .

 

That is a good point and worn parts that are often overlooked. I found the result of that worst when in a long interstate turn with a lot of pot holes. Nearly uncontrolable at times.

 

Did this occur after a tire change?
