If you’re going to the trouble of swapping valves, install a Hadley valve! Trust me! As handy as a dump valve is, the ability to RAISE the suspension is some next-level, pimptacular cool, that you’ll wonder how you ever lived without!

Can those be raised/lowered/ set to neutral (ride height) from the cab?

I just put a Hadley valve on my trailer but I'm not sure what you're referring to as far as raising the trailer.

On my tractor the leveling valve is separate from the dump valves. On the trailer with that Hadley valve it has a top section of it that's for the dump valve.

This thread is interesting because I'm looking at whether I want to run air from the tractor back with a switch on the dash (like another suspension dump switch) or if I want to Loop it and put a ball valve on the trailer or if I want to use an electric solenoid or some combination of the above.

I do have a few unused PTO switches in the truck that already have unused airlines that run out of the cab so maybe I could use one of them. Probably would be the best to be able to dump it separately from in the cab.

But I have to redo it because I can't stand it every time I set the brakes it dumps the air out of the trailer bags.

If you ever drop loaded heavy trailers, its quite a bit better to have the bags empty before dropping due to the extra stresses on landing gear from the bags gradually depleting while you arent there. Not today, not tomorrow, but eventually the landing gear will collapse

The Hadley valves on our tractors allow us to raise the suspension ~3” above normal. Handiest thing in the world when the spotters set the trailers an inch apart. Just pick it up and pull it out. Saves a lot of strain on landing gear, too!

The forward & backward force you mention here are evident on my lowboy as well. When I hook the neck up and attach the air lines I always warn those who are on or near the trailer, it will lurch quite a bit as soon as the brakes release. 4 bag is not like 8 bag that sets straight down….

You could just call and get the factory dump valve and switch
