Hi George. Basically, you either want to start being a mechanic, or start being a truck driver, not both at the same time. Too much going, too much to learn and too many things to cost big bucks for someone starting out. Trucks that have sat for a while will need lots of work to get road worthy. This is not the truck for you to start a career with. I recommend starting out as a company driver, build up some money, and then if you still want to have your own truck and be an owner/operator go and buy something that is certified/safetied, running and ready for the highway! The truck you are looking at has been sitting long enough for rust to form in the engine, fuel system, brakes, air system, corrosion all over the place, and so on. Trust me, this truck needs someone who knows what they are doing. Chances are very good there is severe problems that will show up with this unit that will bankrupt you as fast as you got started!!!
