Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Like the guy said... many of them are foreigners who don't speak English and have never seen snow before.
-
I feel for newly arrived immigrants, that get put in a truck given little knowledge of what they are supposed to know. And the very annoying and dangerous mistakes they make...
-
It would be interesting to hear their side of the story, like how they got to be where they are and what is going through their heads when they are doing all these dumb things. -
These must be the same type of guys hauling all them $1.50 a mile loads and not carrying snow chains.
-
Hey look weather report says feet of snow is falling, let me drive into it

Snow plow did that to them. Don't park on ramps.

snow plows will do that in a rest area or a truck stop

Many of the new comers paid up to $20,000 to trucking companies that sponsored them to come to Canada. The companies have friends at schools that can get them their license within two weeks, then they immediately put them on the highway even running the mountains in the winter time with zero experience.
The new drivers dare not refuse any work as the companies hold it over their heads that if they don’t work as required then they’ll cancel the sponsorship and be sent back to the home country.
If they do make it two years, then they are free to quit and apply for permanent residency.
Plus they only get paid a small stipend usually under 20 cents per mile. Some of these companies make so much off the newcomers paying for sponsorship that they don’t even care if the truck actually makes much money on the road. That’s how they can afford to haul for less.
It’s been several years now and the only thing our government has done is make it even easier for more to come over.
One driver said he was so scared to be driving the mountains, nobody showed him what to do. They just put him out there, but he had to bare it until he got his two years and permanent residency.mjd4277, Gearjammin' Penguin, Tall Mike and 7 others Thank this. -
