    More likely it is a crap company that can't get good drivers and has trouble getting drivers to stay. So they kept him despite his record. Just look at the vehicle maintenance violations. This one caught my eye: "CMV manufactured after 10/20/1994 is not equipped with automatic air brake adjusters".

    Those are easy, Mr half inch or Mr 9/16th open and closed wrench takes care of those stroke rods and pads nicely in a few minutes when the braking starts to fade away. I usually am under my milk truck and trailer several times a day. Takes a moment, gets all sorts of braking back in a hurry.

    I think the trailer was a early 70's and the tractor about that age. At least before 1972.

    That would explain a lot,since spring brakes weren’t mandated on trailers until 1975!
