Yes they will get rid of a driver not pulling his/her weight. Union= at the terminal/drive home. Non Union=BFE/your on your own. Right? Wrong? Cross and hold your head high then. Your a company driver doing what your told right?

This is why I fail to see why intelligent folks think a union is all that and a box of roses. They aint, this is about as stupid as it gets.
But in my mind they got what they deserve. If you aint gonna work then we'll find some one that is willing to work. If you don't like this yob......... try the next company down the street.

If I’m trying to provide for my family and you are standing in my way, we’re going to have a major problem and when it’s solved, I’ll be working. What you (meaning the striker that is standing in my way) will be doing will be entirely dependent on how stupid you decided to be.

The "ooooh, big scarey union" don't mean jack-squat to me. If you want to strike, strike. That's your prerogative. Just don't latch on the ridiculously stupid concept that you are going to prevent me from working.

    Well, that’s pretty obvious.

And a worker providing for his family is not allowed the same right? It’s amazing that you can’t see the hypocrisy in that statement.

Not willing to work? I didn't read that in the article. But then when you have a agenda you can see or say any thing you wish. Not all unions are a bed of roses nor are all evil. Sounds to me the members caved in. Any union is only as strong as the members. I've seen a union Hard Rock mine strike for over a year for .25 cents per hour. Right or Wrong they had a say about their pay. They never made up for the money lost in that year with no pay. The point is they took a stand and made their point. (Stand for some thing or stand for nothing) I have never been fired any place union or not, have never feared losing my job as I have always found work. I find it amusing that the reason given here is: Just doing my job, working for my family ect. And yet some are willing to undermine some one else trying to uplifit their family. " Me first " What a sorry bunch.

Yup, I used to work across the road from the plant at AI-Shreveport assembling the engine's for Colorado's and Canyon's and inspecting body panel's for QC to stop bad part's from making it over to the plant and shut them down. They tried to get me involved in that union BS. No thank you! I'll hold my own. It's insane the wage's those guy's make over there. They were making around $25-35/hr doing pretty much the same #### thing I was doing for $11.25/hr.

The GM plant shuting down here put this town in a world of hurt job wise. Really the only thing left holding this place together are the river boat's/casino's and daily traffic from Texas visitor's keeping us afloat.
I've noticed the American Classified paper is back up to 2 pg's instead of half in the employment section so it seem's to be picking up a little here. Still a lot of management positions open that no one want's.

As for any picket line... If I am an outside carrier making a delievery, they can either get out of the way or get run over because their BS isn't going to stop me from doing my job and getting it done.

But paying monthly due's and for what? The same thing you can do with all the same guy's organized together and talk about quietly on lunch break and after work. To me the union just seem's to be nothing more than a bunch of over paid (but still ##### about what they make people) who are never satisfied when people like us truck driver's would LOVE and be more than happy to make the money they do. Union ain't nothing more than money hungry union due's for those who can't stand and speak up for themselves because they have some of the best paying job's yet they ##### it still isn't enough. #### that!

Yep, fits today's unions absolutely perfectly.

Thanks for playing. Exit to the right and pick up your consolation prize as you leave.

In your words not mine "people like us truck drivers" Huh? As long as you will work for what your working for you will get exactly that. You complain what a union job pays and yet whine about your pay. Envy? Go outside: bang your head against the wall. Repeat. Repeat. The reason those jobs pay what they do is because the members got that pay thru strikes. Did you even think before you posted this mess?
