You may want to research that a bit more before you state that TX is the only state this is legal in.

    You are correct on this.

TX is the only state BIG enough to do this in. Sure ain't gonna run 4000 miles a week in Rhode Island are you? And at 55 mph, you wouldn't be able to do it in California now would you?:biggrin_25513:

I was using it as an Example. You might be able to even get more miles in NE or WY due to the higher speed limits (75 24/7 vs 70 day/65 night of texas) But the states aren't quite as large as Texas, so unless you ran from one side to the other side each day, it would be kinda tight.

I see your point on the miles.
The way your post was written it looked like TX was the only state that 18 yr olds could drive in-state. TX has lots of good BBQ, but they don't have a handle on EVERY thing.

I've put many operators OOS for the language barrier. It is not a law that is well enforced b/c you will have some officers / Troopers who "feel" it is wrong to punish an immigrant for not speaking english. NOT ME. If I cannot communicate with the driver, the inspection cannot be conducted hence OOS. I will give every opportunity to get a translator if possible and still advise of the OOS status

Kudos for you! I appreciate your efforts in enforcing the English language provision of the rules. IMHO, the ability to effectively communicate is vital.
