"Trucker Bombs" are becoming a big problem in California (and other states)

A new fire near a CA Interstate was called in 40 minutes ago via live tv on my satellite.

Town is Sylmar CA and the big ones are under more long haul power lines. Im beginning to think either terrorists or pyromaniacs are running around setting these fires near the pylons.

From 12 miles away a big strong camera using both light and IR was able to record two hillsides consumed in 5 minutes and advancing over the one ridge dividing it and hundreds of structures towards the camera.

I think in all of us there is a little bit of im scared when faced with such a monster moving towards you. In 8 minutes it was making progress towards you the viewer.

I hate to think what it will be a hour from now with all those people up along a canyon wall wanting out all of a sudden. But no they have no idea and are staying until the last minute. Something that will cost some their lives.

Thats my thought tonight. Way too many #### fires too fast in short space of time tonight.

Location is probably on 5 about a couple miles south of the dividing system that seperates big rigs from Cars for the Grapevine pull upgrade going northbound. This town is the western tip of Hollywood mountain that is like all the way past Ontario CA and really wide as well. Canyons run west to east.

The main fire is under the high tension power lines marching downhill towards 5 an 210. Thsoe are probably going to get shut soon which will royally screw up the area.

Thats not all. That town referenced is the tip of the entire LA Metro system urban area that reaches around 60+ miles in any direction. I don't know if they can or are willing to whistle up some heavy 747 or Russian high lift tankers to start bombing while using I-5 as the Maginot Line or a Alamo of sorts to get that fire stopped from hopping across.

I would never call it hate...more like envy.

 

Those two clearance lights are the newer style with a darker tint. I think Freightliner revised them around the 2016/2017 model year-we’ve had a few older trucks with the same scenario.
