I invite you to read "Letter from a Birmingham Jail", or any of MLK's speeches from 1967, or read about the Pettus bridge/Slema march.

I would also invite you to read the contemporary editorials about King, SNCC, the Freedom Riders, or the Civil Rights movement in general.

I think you do a disservice to both King and the Civil Rights movement when you say "Martin Luther King jr. would despise these criminals for the disservice being done to his hard work". It wasn't HIS hard work - it was the hard work of many thousands of people working within, around, and in defiance of the system. Most of whom will never get the recognition for their work.

 

So what your saying is megas can talk with this forum and get our info and find out you is who! Then take action.

 

All of the work was done in an attempt to be treated equally as a human regardless of race.
These SJW's are trying to restrict our civil rights with a direct attack on civil liberties. They are literally bringing back segregation in Seattle public libraries! College campuses are creating White free zones! How is that a positive direction for the country?
What MLK did was for a very decent cause (equality), these SJW's are fighting for something far different than equality (the exact opposite of equality actually) and are ruining decent people's lives in an attempt to get their way.

Standing up and asking to be treated equally to the person next to you regardless of race, religion, gender etc. Is a valiant fight that I'm behind 100% but these criminal SJW's are roaming the streets looting and vandalizing in the name of other criminals who wouldn't listen to basic commands given by officers. Race has nothing to do with it, just people resisting arrest and fighting with police.
If I resist arrest and fight police I expect to get shot. I'd be nuts to think I could attack an officer and not be shot.

More people need to take responsibility for their actions and not seek pity when it's obvious to anyone with a shred of common sense that they deserve nothing but being flogged publicly for their assault on others civil liberties.

That truck driver had every right to drive on that highway and they had zero right to stop him.

• How are "social justice warriors" trying to restrict your civil rights?
• In what way are they committing "direct attack on civil liberties"?

And again, I would like to point out that in his time MLK was branded a communist and a criminal whose goal was the destruction of the United States. It was Black people breaking the law that led to desegregation. It was the threat of rising violence that forced LBJ to get the 1965 Voting Rights Act passed. It was the rioting and looting in 1967 - "The Summer of Love" - which led to the passing of the 1968 Civil Rights Act which, among other things formally ended discrimination in housing. Racial land covenants had been declared unconstitutional in 1948, but were still being enforced into the 1970s.

 

Uhhh maybe because he was moving at highway speed before seeing the people in road, ever think of that ??? It was dark as well, so how could he see them till he was up on them....u dont know how he thought cause u aren't him, its nice assuming you know what to do....

 

How about the fools stop blocking roads of hard working drivers ??? U don't have a right to impede someone's travel, period.....do it on a city road,not on a 70 mph highway, duh.....

 

Still point stands, hes moving at speed not expecting humans on the highway, they still dont have a right to stop his movement.......if you're not blocking the road, no one gets put in danger, common sense, right ???

 

All sorts of #### ends up on the highway that shouldn't be there. Have you never seen a couch, or tires in the road? Doesn't mean you are in the clear if you hit it just because it's not supposed to be there. Our job is to safely operate on the road and pay attention enough to not run over obvious obstacles.

 

Ultimately if LEO had done their job no one would have been on the interstate. Not enforcing the law is the cause of the incident.
