It all goes back to the root of the problem. Why is that so hard to understand?

It's certainly derailed, but what good does publicly calling for the mods do? You have no power here. If you want something done use the report feature and hope the mod team agrees with you.

The root of the problem is a trucker thinking it was prudent to try to use his truck as a battering ram instead of stopping well short of any danger. What the protesters were there for has literally zero bearing on this discussion.

The trucker was a productive member of society trying to do his job and make an honest living... As for the protesters..................

Actually the OP of the thread(namely,me) can request one of the moderators to lock the thread if necessary. Especially if the conversation goes off the deep end and people start getting into semantics.

History shows this is not the case.

You say that this whole thing could be solved if "they" got jobs. This ignores so much, starting with racial discrimination in education and employment. I've already posted the links showing showing systemic racial bias in hiring, but here are a few more:

    Now for the education links:

I know you won't read any of these. I also know that you won't give me scholarly articles that rebut these assertions, nor will you challenge your belief that the system is working just fine.

The fact that it takes mass protest and lawsuits to create police accountability should scare the pants out of you.

I encourage you to spend some time on Audit the Audit's youtube page. There you will see plenty of hardworking, taxpaying citizens being harassed by the police. Heck, even the Heritage Foundation believes we need police reform.

Again the words of Ben Franklin:

"Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.”

Part of the truckers job is running over people that are mildly annoying?
I hope you never drive a truck, or for that matter anything larger than a bicycle....

Frankly I look at it this way if those people are stupid enough to stand in the middle of an interstate and so-called protest then there’s subject to whatever repercussions come their way including getting run over...Because if these people will legitimately doing something under the letter of the law legally the police would’ve been there blocking the road off and they weren’t
