I agree with everyone's comments but take a closer look at the pictures. I don't see much in the way of tire ruts behind the truck and it should look like a plowed field. An escape ramp that's more of a dirt road than deep, loose gravel doesn't create much drag. He may not have been going as fast as it appears.

I see tracks as clear as the nose on my face

Prime made it up there pretty far too,
Maybe since they had the room they designed it to stop a truck gradually rather than having the freight bust through the front of the trailer from a quick stop.
At least the Martin drive didn’t jump out and let the truck go off the side of the roadLepton1, mjd4277, lovesthedrive and 2 others Thank this. -

I thought those things were built as a gradual wedge and filled with pebble stones so you gradually sink into them as you move forward. Rips the underside of your truck real good but it works. I figured they would be buried deeper than they appear. An old driver once told me when I was new if I ever have to use one of those....make sure your seat belt is on good and snug you are going for a ride..

At least the trucks kept up right and straight. Everybody walked away. It's not pretty, but it could have been a lot worse.
wore out, mjd4277, lovesthedrive and 1 other person Thank this. -
